Granthi A Bachelor’s Degree in any stream and should have ‘Gyani” in Punjabi language.
Padre A Bachelor’s Degree in any stream and should have ordained priesthood from appropriate authority. Should also be approved by a local Bishop.
Maulvi (Sunni) A Bachelor’s Degree in any stream and Alim in Arabic, Adeeb-e-Mahir or Urdu Mahir in Urdu language.
Pandit (Gorkha) Shastri or Acharya in Sanskrit with Karam Kand as the main subject, Core subject or one year diploma in it.
Maulvi (Shia) A Bachelor’s Degree in any stream and Alim in Arabic, Adeeb-e-Mahir or Urdu Mahir in Urdu language.
Bodh Monk A Bachelor’s Degree in any stream and should have ordained Monk or Buddhist by a appropriate authority.
The expression ‘Appropriate Authority’ means the Head Priest of the Monastery where a person gain his/her priesthood. The head of the Monastery should also have a Geshe (Ph.D.) of Khanpa or Lopon or Rajbam with Proper certificate from the Monastery.

For Serving Combatants: the age criteria is between 25 years to 34 years as on 1 January 2023.
