Addressing the inauguration of the annual youth festival at Kashmir University in Srinagar, he said that the long pending demand of teachers would be fulfilled. Manoj Sinha said that the issue of shortage of faculty in the university has been discussed. As an immediate solution, the retirement age of the faculty will be increased from 62 years to 65 years. Inauguration of Annual Youth Festival-
Earlier, the Lt Governor inaugurated the Annual Youth Festival at the University of Kashmir. Extending his best wishes, he said that the annual festival is a great opportunity for young artistes to showcase their talent. Also, the Lt Governor appreciated the efforts of the University of Kashmir on making necessary changes to incorporate the recommendation of the National Education Policy.
He said that the Center of Excellence of Kashmir University is promoting scientific research. The youth performing best in this program will be given a chance to participate in the North Zone Youth Festival and later in the National Youth Festival
